Combined solution of AJB’s FIPay software and Reliant’s Redbox Platform provides a secure store platform to host payment card infrastructure; removes POS environment from PCI Scope

Press Release
New York, NY, May 21, 2012 – AJB Software, a leader in integrated payment solutions, and Reliant Security, a leading provider of integrated data security and store systems technology solutions, today announced a partnership agreement through which AJB has integrated its FIPay software on Reliant’s Redbox Platform to centralize payment infrastructure and reduce PCI DSS scope at the POS. Both AJB and Reliant will be showcasing FIPay and Redbox Platform at the upcoming NACSTech Trade Show, May 21-23 in Nashville, TN.

By hosting the AJB software on Redbox Platform, payment card data is removed from the merchant’s POS environment to reduce PCI scope.   The FIPay software communicates with the payment devices directly from the in-store Redbox appliance, and the POS system receives only truncated card information, an authorization code or optional token after authorization is completed through a secure, encrypted session. All store-based instances of FIPay are centrally configured and managed through Redbox Platform’s central management interface.

For retailers, the combined solution strengthens the level of credit card data security in the retail stores and reduces their PCI footprint, while delivering a centralized payment infrastructure that is easily leveraged to integrate payment transactions from additional in-store technologies such as mobile POS and self-service kiosks.

AJB’s payment processing suite includes the Flexible Integrated Payment System (FIPay) and Retail Transaction Switch (RTS); a store-level communication gateway interfacing the merchant’s PIN pad devices, POS system and financial processors and a multi-purpose transaction switch that performs real-time authorization of a variety of transaction types from numerous sources over any communication medium.

Redbox Platfrom enables retailers to securely and cost-effectively manage store technology by creating a private in-store cloud for delivery applications such as VoIP, guest wifi, digital signage, interactive kiosks, mobile POS, PCI Controls, VPN and 4G connectivity, and secure payments– all at a fraction of the cost of alternative approaches.

“We are very pleased to welcome AJB as the latest retail application to join our family of value-added applications available on Redbox Platform. This partnership’s combined solution addresses a key business challenge for our retail customers,” commented Mark Weiner, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Reliant Security.  “As a leader in the payment space, AJB will allow us bring world-class payment capabilities to our customers.”

“Our merchants continue to look for alternative approaches to reducing the complexity and scope of PCI. Partnering with Reliant Security will allow our customers to segregate payment processing within the Redbox Platform using our FIPay product. This architecture makes even more sense in petroleum retail where Redbox and FIPay can securely manage payments from the fuel dispenser and inside the store,” said Pat Polillo, VP of Sales at AJB.
